Below is a list of candidates for the 2012 Chapter Board that was submitted by the Nominating Committee and approved by the current 2011 Board.

Any chapter member may add additional nominations for vote before 15 business days prior to the Annual Business Meeting in December to submit (in writing, including e-mail)  if they so choose.  Please have your nominations sent to Jessica Dahl  jhubert-dahl@janusfiresystems.com by Monday, Nov 21st, 2011.  We will have the final membership vote for the 2012 Board during the December meeting (Holiday Party Dec. 12).  

All but three positions are eligible for additional nominations.  The three automatic placements for 2012 are: Past President (Jim Lemanski) and two of the Directors (Dan Fritz and Bruce Conrad) who are both in the middle of their two year term.

President:                           Terry Pintar, RJA (moving up from VP)

Vice-President:                DeAndrea Cooley, Allianz (moving up from Treasurer)

Treasurer:                           Tony Forester, XL GAPS (moving up from Director)

Secretary:                           Ed Hugill, Janus (replacing Jessica Hubert-Dahl on the Board.  Ed works with Jessica at Janus and Jessica can easily mentor him in the position)

Past President:                 Jim Lemanski, XL Insurance

Dan Fritz, XL Insurance (will be starting the 2^nd year of his 1^st term)

Bruce Conrad, Zurich (will be starting the 2^nd year of his 1^st term)

Bob Pikula, Reliable (Current treasurer of the IFPS Illiana Chapter recommended to serve on our Board by Brian Denk)

Joel Drennan, Areva (a young man working in fire protection out of Areva’s Naperville office for past year and half.  Recent graduate of OSU.  Was president of SFPE student chapter at OSU, wants to get more involved with the Chicago Chapter).

regarding dues payments and email contact point

For all who are now receiving chapter announcements for upcoming events please make sure that you are up-to-date on dues. Chapter members who are members of the international society pay annual dues of $25. For others who wish to be notified of upcoming events, the annual fee is $35. Dues are payable annually (March 31 – March 31), and can be paid via Club Express at http://www.chicagosfpe.clubexpress.com/. Reminder notices for dues will be sent via email 60 days and 10 days prior to March 31. If you have not paid, please pay promptly -- the membership list is purged periodically to eliminate those whose payments are not up-to-date.

To verify that your dues are up-to-date, log on to Club Express and click on “Profile”.  Your membership expiration date will be shown.  The Transaction History shows your payments (two payments may be shown for 2011, but one of those is a bookkeeping transfer, not a charge).  If you did not receive a dues statement or experience any trouble with the Club Express website, please contact the Membership Chairman.

If you are not receiving the email announcements but you are current on dues, please send your current email address to the Membership Chairman. Please note that most chapter material is now distributed via email.

New Chicago Chapter logo shirts available

Chapter members can purchase a blue polo shirt with the SFPE logo in full color and the wording "Chicago Chapter" for $10. A new version in black is available for $18.  The men's style in sizes L to 3X and the women's style in sizes M to XL are illustrated here.
